Chili's Copycat Salsa Recipe

This salsa tastes JUST like Chili's salsa and is super easy to make! I will never buy store bought salsa again!

(Recipe from Deals to Meals)

2 cans (14.5 oz each) whole tomatoes, drained
4 fresh jalapenos (or less if you don't like it really spicy)
1/4 c. yellow onion, cut into quarters (you can also use dried minced onion)
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 salt
1 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. lime juice

Place all of the ingredients together into a food processor or blender and puree until smooth. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips :)

The best BLTs ever!

BLTs seem so simple, but they really can be hit or miss. Most of the time they come out way too dry. My roommate said he never really liked BLTs... until he had mine! It's really just a few simple tricks, but these tips will transform a BLT from a "last resort sandwich" to one of your favorite meals!

Ingredients:
- Bread
- Butter
- Tomatoes (I use large beefsteak tomatoes, and make sure they're pretty firm and not soft/soggy!)
- Lettuce (I prefer romaine lettuce or spinach)
- Prepackaged sliced cheese
- Bacon
- Mustard (I know, I know, usually BLTs come with mayo- but just try this once! I think you'll be surprised!)

- Prepare bacon like you normally would. While the bacon is cooking, get your bread out. This is the key secret step to the BLTs! Lightly butter both slices of bread, then put them in the toaster. I repeat, butter the bread BEFORE it goes in the toaster! Lightly toast the bread, and take it out. This makes the bread crispy on the outside, but it won't scratch up the roof of your mouth and make you super thirsty while you're eating your BLT!

- Once all the bacon is done cooking, get the bread and put it on a plate. Unwrap the cheese and put it on one of the slices of bread. But both pieces of bread in the microwave for about 20-25 seconds. This warms the bread up if it's been sitting there for a minute or two, and also allows for the cheese to start to melt, which is really important! As soon as you take the bread out of the microwave, put a few slices of bacon on top of the cheese.

- Continue to layer your sandwich with lettuce and tomato. When done, squirt some mustard on the other slice of bread and then put your sandwich together. Serve with a pickle and a side of chips if you want!

I promise your friends/kids/spouse will be begging you to make them BLTs again after they have had these! Try them and let me know how they turn out and what you think!
